Disney Debrief

We are no strangers to Disney tunes in our house. We know them, we love them, we sing them….but the full week immersion of living all things Disney took that to an exponential level… cries of “Ahhhh, Pensilvania, a- na-nana” (think Lion King’s Circle of Life intro), visions of Soarin’, Grogu everything, custom made light saber fights….the list continues!

We are a month back home and still recovering from sinus illnesses, sleep deprivation, and the vacation mode, “I see it = I want it” syndrome.

This trip was a first for our kids, but also for Scott and I. In our mid-forties/fifties, neither of us had ever been. It was MAGICAL to experience this first with our family. I cried actual tears when the princess parade came by and Sophia got to wave at all her faves….some of them my childhood faves as well. I can’t even tell you why, but there was something enchanting about seeing her eyes sparkle at seeing them…she just lit up!

I learned that Disney is a noun, but also a verb- it implies something to say we have ‘done Disney’ …. We were indoctrinated into the culture that is Disney…living it up, soaking it up and buying it up! Disney is a full on experience.

So, we’ve been there, done that, got the shirt, had the experience…now focusing on getting the level of Disney in our home back to a tolerable level and planning our next getaway…..for the mountains! 😂

Toodles,

~Jules

When I was a kid dreaming of what I would be one day, I had three main dreams…first was to be a mom, second was to be a writer and third, a teacher. By the grace of God, I’ve somehow become all three! Together with my husband, Scott, we run a small farm, small family business, homeschool our five kiddos, he pastors a church and I work in women’s ministry and still manage to love each other well.
