Wednesday’s Word : Jeremiah 32:27

I woke to this text from a dear friend, yesterday:

"Good Morning, Sister! I was thinking of you this morning. Said a prayer for you! Hope life is treating you well! Jeremiah 32:27 “I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is anything too hard for me?”"

She is aware of the general circumstance of the season I’m in, but has no idea of the emotions that often surround where we are. The truth is, it doesn’t matter what my situation is. We all have “circumstances” that hover over our days as we parent, work, teach, go to school, or dine with friends. Young and old, all walks, all ethnicities....someone always has something larger and some smaller, but we all have something that steals our thoughts away. It’s the thing we wonder about the outcome, we borrow worry, we fret, we vent, we cry, we question God, we run from God, we pray....

But this. Jeremiah 32:27. Wow. It’s like she knew I went to bed the night before with concerns swirling in my brain, forgetting that God is the author of this story. All the chapters! All my days. He numbered them, He cares about me, and He knows what’s best in every circumstance. He will make a way and provide. He’s proven that over and over! Has something happened that is suddenly too hard for Him? I think not. He is the Lord, the God of all flesh. NOTHING is too hard for Him.

I am so glad I can say He has the controls over my life. I try to butt in and take lead every now and then, but nudges like this text from my friend remind me to let Him back in His proper place in my life and to trust that He is who He says He is.

As you read this and go about your day, consider, “Is anything too hard for Him?”

I think you will find, it is not. Releasing your grip on things you cannot control will usher in a peace to your soul that you may not even realize you've been craving.

Be you. Be kind. Be blessed.

When I was a kid dreaming of what I would be one day, I had three main dreams…first was to be a mom, second was to be a writer and third, a teacher. By the grace of God, I’ve somehow become all three! Together with my husband, Scott, we run a small farm, small family business, homeschool our five kiddos, he pastors a church and I work in women’s ministry and still manage to love each other well.
