Wednesday's Word: Ps 36:11

Psalm 36:11. Let not the foot of pride come upon me, and let not the hand of the wicked drive me away.

Pride is a doozy. Most of us will struggle in some for or fashion at some point in our life, of thinking ourselves greater, or less, than who God says we are. I get frustrated with my kids, because I'm a better mother than what their behavior suggests. I'm too important for this, or not important enough for that. The pride struggle is real, but we're a work in progress.

The wicked will always be. Always. But we don't have to let them move us, to shake us, to defeat us. John 16:33 says, "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." The outcome is decided. The wicked don't win. Jesus does.

Be blessed!

When I was a kid dreaming of what I would be one day, I had three main dreams…first was to be a mom, second was to be a writer and third, a teacher. By the grace of God, I’ve somehow become all three! Together with my husband, Scott, we run a small farm, small family business, homeschool our five kiddos, he pastors a church and I work in women’s ministry and still manage to love each other well.
